Introduction

Prabotics Labs ("Prabotics Labs", "we", "us", or "our") provides Nabik, an AI-powered CCTV surveillance solution combining compatible camera streams, dedicated processing hardware, intelligent monitoring software, and related technical services.

We recognize the importance of protecting personal information, particularly when surveillance technology is involved.

This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, accessed, disclosed, retained, and protected in connection with our website, products, customer enquiries, subscriptions, and support services.

The policy also explains how Nabik's local recording and AI processing relate to customer-operated surveillance systems.

Different responsibilities may apply depending on whether Prabotics Labs determines the purposes of processing or processes information on behalf of a customer.

We use this information to respond to enquiries, assess camera compatibility, prepare quotations, and communicate with prospective customers.

1.2 Customer and Transaction Information

For customers purchasing Nabik, we may process:

  • Customer contact information.
  • Hardware and service order details.
  • Quotations and invoices.
  • Payment and billing records.
  • Subscription details and renewal information.
  • Hardware identifiers where needed.

  • Software versions.
  • Camera connection details.
  • Relevant network configuration.
  • System diagnostics and logs.
  • Error messages.
  • Support-related screenshots.
  • Relevant surveillance footage or event data when necessary for authorized technical work.

Access to CCTV information depends on the customer's system configuration, the services provided, and the remote-access permissions in place.

1.4 Website and Advertising Information

When visiting our website, technical and usage information may be collected through hosting systems, security tools, analytics, cookies, and advertising technologies.

Depending on the technologies enabled, this may include:

  • IP address.
  • Device and browser details.
  • Pages visited.
  • Referral source.
  • Advertisement interaction information.
  • Cookie and similar identifiers.
  • Website events and conversions.
  • Approximate location derived from technical information.

Further details appear in the Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising section below.

2. How We Use Information

Prabotics Labs may process personal information for the following purposes:

  • Responding to customer enquiries.
  • Checking camera compatibility.
  • Preparing quotations.
  • Processing orders and payments.
  • Providing Nabik setup and configuration.
  • Managing subscriptions and renewals.
  • Delivering technical support and maintenance.
  • Diagnosing system problems.
  • Communicating important service information.
  • Maintaining relevant business records.
  • Protecting website and service security.
  • Improving website usability and business operations.
  • Measuring advertising effectiveness.
  • Conducting permitted marketing activities.
  • Complying with applicable legal obligations.

The applicable legal grounds depend on the nature of the processing, including contractual necessity, applicable consent, and other grounds recognized by law.

Marketing preferences and consent requirements are handled separately where appropriate.

Submitting a support request does not automatically authorize unrelated marketing communications.

3. CCTV Recording and Local Storage

Nabik is designed to work with compatible IP camera video streams and dedicated AI processing hardware.

In a standard local configuration, CCTV recordings are stored on storage configured for the customer's Nabik AI Box or another agreed local storage destination.

Recording modes, available capacity, and retention periods depend on the installed hardware and configuration.

Customer footage is not automatically uploaded in its entirety to a cloud recording platform simply because the customer uses Nabik.

However, remote access, technical assistance, selected notifications, or optional integrations may involve the transmission or access of surveillance-related information.

Customers generally determine the purpose and location of their cameras, permitted users, and appropriate recording-retention settings for their own installations, subject to applicable law and contractual arrangements.

Prabotics Labs may have separate responsibilities for information it accesses or processes during technical support.

4. Ongoing Remote Access to Nabik AI Boxes

To provide technical assistance, maintenance, troubleshooting, configuration, and other agreed services, Prabotics Labs may establish and maintain remote connectivity to customer Nabik AI Boxes.

Remote connectivity may remain available even when no active support request is open.

Depending on the access method and permissions configured, authorized technical personnel may be able to access:

  • System status and diagnostics.
  • Software and configuration settings.
  • Relevant logs.
  • Camera connection information.
  • AI event information.
  • Live or recorded footage when such access is necessary and authorized for the applicable service.

Maintaining a remote connection does not mean Prabotics Labs continuously watches customer camera feeds.

Remote access is intended for authorized service operations and should be restricted to appropriate personnel and legitimate purposes.

The customer will be informed of the applicable remote-support arrangements through the relevant product documentation, quotation, onboarding process, or service agreement.

Access arrangements may differ according to the selected service plan and technical configuration.

Where required by law or contract, customers and affected individuals must receive appropriate information about this processing.

Prabotics Labs will apply appropriate safeguards and access restrictions to the remote-support mechanisms it operates.

Customers should contact Prabotics Labs to discuss applicable remote-access arrangements, access restrictions, or termination of a support connection.

Changing or disabling remote access may affect the availability of certain technical assistance and maintenance services.

5. AI Processing and Event Summaries

Nabik includes AI-powered monitoring capabilities using supported processing hardware and models.

These may include:

  • Person and vehicle detection.
  • Other supported object detection.
  • Smart monitoring zones.
  • Event review.
  • AI Video Search.
  • AI Event Summaries.
  • Face Recognition.
  • License Plate Recognition.

Availability depends on the installed hardware, AI models, software configuration, and purchased service arrangement.

5.1 Local AI Event Summaries

Nabik AI Event Summaries are generated using local AI processing on the configured Nabik system.

For this feature, selected event imagery is processed by the locally configured AI model to create a description of relevant activity.

Nabik does not use an external cloud AI provider to generate AI Event Summaries under the confirmed product configuration.

The ability to generate summaries depends on compatible hardware, an installed and functioning local model, and appropriate configuration.

Other services, such as software downloads, remote technical support, notifications, or website operations, may still involve internet connectivity.

Local AI processing does not mean that authorized support access or all external data transmissions are impossible.

5.2 Other AI Capabilities

Supported detection, search, and recognition features may process camera images, object information, event metadata, and other information relevant to the selected function.

Certain advanced capabilities may require additional processing resources.

AI-generated results can contain mistakes or omit relevant details and should not be treated as conclusive evidence.

6. Facial Recognition and Biometric Information

Where Face Recognition is enabled, the system may process:

  • Facial images.
  • Facial feature representations.
  • Previously enrolled facial profiles.
  • Recognition labels.
  • Related camera events and timestamps.

Facial information used to identify a person may constitute sensitive biometric personal information.

Customers using Face Recognition must establish the appropriate legal basis, provide required notices, obtain consent where applicable, and implement appropriate security and retention safeguards.

Only individuals whose facial data may lawfully be processed should be enrolled.

Recognition results may be inaccurate and should be independently verified before consequential decisions.

Prabotics Labs will handle any biometric information it accesses or processes according to its applicable legal and contractual obligations.

Face Recognition is not a guarantee of identity verification, visitor authorization, or criminal identification.

7. License Plate Recognition and Vehicle Information

Where supported, License Plate Recognition may process:

  • Vehicle imagery.
  • Registration plate images.
  • Recognized plate characters.
  • Configured known-plate labels.
  • Related camera events and timestamps.

Vehicle registration information may constitute personal information when it relates to an identifiable individual.

The availability and reliability of recognition depend on the supported OCR model, plate format, camera configuration, and image quality.

Recognition information should be used only for appropriate and lawful purposes.

Prabotics Labs does not represent ordinary plate recognition as access to government vehicle-owner records.

8. Third-Party Services and Integrations

Prabotics Labs may use third-party services to operate the business and provide selected product functionality.

These can include:

  • Website hosting and security providers.
  • Business email providers.
  • Payment processing services.
  • WhatsApp and communication services.
  • Telegram notifications.
  • Analytics and advertising platforms.
  • Other operational service providers.

Certain integrations may transmit data to external services.

Telegram Notifications

When Telegram notifications are enabled, configured alert details, images, or related information may be transmitted through Telegram's infrastructure.

Home Assistant

Where configured, Nabik can exchange supported monitoring and automation information with Home Assistant.

The information shared depends on the integration settings and any external services used by the customer.

Local Event Summaries

Nabik's confirmed AI Event Summaries feature does not send event images to an external cloud AI provider for generation.

Business Service Providers

Customer contact details, communications, transaction records, or technical information may be processed by providers assisting Prabotics Labs with business operations.

Information shared with service providers should be limited to appropriate purposes and handled under applicable safeguards.

9. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

The Nabik website uses or may use advertising and measurement tools, including Meta Pixel, Google Ads tracking, and similar technologies configured by Prabotics Labs.

These technologies may collect information about website visits, pages viewed, advertisement interactions, and relevant conversion events.

Depending on the technology and configuration, information may include device information, browser details, IP address, cookie identifiers, referral information, and website activity.

We may use these technologies to:

  • Measure advertising performance.
  • Understand how visitors use the website.
  • Evaluate enquiry and conversion activity.
  • Improve advertising campaigns.
  • Deliver or measure relevant advertisements and remarketing campaigns where enabled and legally permitted.

Advertising and analytics providers may process information using their own infrastructure and applicable privacy policies.

Where consent is required, visitors will be offered a way to accept or reject non-essential tracking before it is activated.

Visitors should also be able to change applicable preferences later.

Necessary cookies or technologies may be used for website functionality and security as permitted by applicable law.

Declining non-essential tracking should not prevent visitors from accessing ordinary informational pages.

Visitors can accept or reject optional analytics and advertising technologies through Cookie preferences and change their choice later.

Prabotics Labs does not treat the mere availability of this policy as a substitute for any required tracking consent.

10. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

Prabotics Labs may disclose information when necessary for:

  • Delivering contracted products and services.
  • Authorized technical support.
  • Business communications.
  • Payment and transaction processing.
  • Configured integrations.
  • Legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Responding to lawful requests.
  • Protecting legitimate legal rights.
  • Investigating relevant security incidents.

Information may be accessed by authorized employees or contracted service providers according to their responsibilities.

We do not claim that customer CCTV footage is completely inaccessible to Prabotics Labs when the customer has an ongoing remote-support arrangement.

Information disclosure is limited by applicable law, relevant permissions, legitimate purposes, and contractual requirements.

11. Information Security

Prabotics Labs recognizes the importance of protecting customer information and surveillance-related data.

Appropriate safeguards may include:

  • Authentication and account controls.
  • Restricting administrative permissions.
  • Limiting remote access to authorized personnel.
  • Protecting remote support connections.
  • Managing access credentials.
  • Applying relevant software security updates.
  • Protecting internal customer records.
  • Monitoring and addressing security incidents.
  • Maintaining appropriate staff confidentiality practices.

No networked or electronic system can guarantee absolute security.

Customers also have responsibilities for securing their own networks, cameras, storage equipment, access credentials, and user accounts.

12. Data Retention and Deletion

Prabotics Labs retains personal information for periods that are appropriate to the relevant purpose and applicable legal obligations.

Different categories of information may have different retention requirements.

Customer Enquiries

Enquiry records may be retained for customer communication and legitimate follow-up purposes.

Orders and Financial Records

Purchase, billing, and accounting records may be retained for relevant financial, taxation, legal, or contractual obligations.

Support Records

Technical support information may be retained as needed for service continuity, troubleshooting, operational security, and applicable obligations.

Remote Support Information

Remote-access records, diagnostics, or data obtained during support should be retained according to the applicable operational purpose, service arrangement, and legal requirements.

CCTV Recordings

Recordings stored on customer-managed Nabik systems are subject to the configured local recording and retention settings.

Biometric and Recognition Information

Facial and recognition-related information must be retained only as justified by its lawful purpose and applicable requirements.

When personal information is no longer needed, it will be handled through appropriate deletion, anonymization, or other legally permitted methods.

Deletion may be subject to technical limitations, backup procedures, and mandatory legal retention obligations.

13. International Data Transfers

Some external business service providers, advertising systems, communication platforms, or other integrations may process information outside Bangladesh.

These may include providers supporting:

  • Business email.
  • Website analytics.
  • Advertising measurement.
  • Communication services.
  • Hosting or security operations.

Any international transfer of personal information must comply with applicable legal requirements and appropriate safeguards.

The confirmed local AI Event Summaries feature does not require external cloud AI processing for summary generation.

However, that does not mean every Prabotics Labs business system or customer-enabled integration operates exclusively within Bangladesh.

14. Privacy Rights and Requests

Depending on applicable law, individuals may have rights to:

  • Request information about processing.
  • Access relevant personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion where legally applicable.
  • Withdraw consent where applicable.
  • Object to certain processing.
  • Exercise other rights available under applicable law.

The exact rights and conditions depend on the processing context and applicable legal requirements.

Some requests may be subject to identity verification, lawful exceptions, or mandatory retention obligations.

Customer-Operated CCTV Systems

If a request relates to CCTV footage collected and controlled by an apartment association, business, homeowner, or other Nabik customer, that organization or individual may be the appropriate first contact.

Prabotics Labs will handle requests concerning information under its own responsibility and provide appropriate assistance where legally or contractually required.

We may request reasonable verification before disclosing sensitive information.

15. Children's Privacy

Nabik is a surveillance technology product rather than a service specifically designed for children.

However, customer-operated cameras may capture images of children in monitored locations.

Customers must comply with applicable requirements concerning surveillance of minors, lawful processing, notices, permissions, and sensitive locations.

Prabotics Labs must also follow its applicable responsibilities when processing children's personal information.

16. Data Breaches and Security Incidents

If Prabotics Labs becomes aware of a security incident affecting personal information for which it is responsible, we will assess and address the incident according to applicable law and contractual obligations.

Appropriate measures may include:

  • Investigation.
  • Containment.
  • System protection.
  • Corrective action.
  • Required notification to relevant parties or authorities.

Applicable duties depend on the nature of the incident, affected information, and our legal role.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our products, services, business processes, technical integrations, or legal obligations change.

Where applicable law requires additional notice or authorization, we will take appropriate steps.

Earlier versions may be retained where necessary for accountability and recordkeeping.
